Henley Business School – Newera Controls Beta Installation
Newera"s technology has received support from CIBSE, BRE and the University of Reading with its specialised Intelligent Buildings Faculty. Henley Business School has recently become part of the University and Professor Derek Clements-Croome, Head of the faculty invited Newera Controls as a consequence to put a first installation at Henley.
We initially focused on the Accommodation blocks with some 44 rooms that were completely uncontrolled in terms of heat and energy usage.
Two blocks were selected and each fitted with electricity meters, water flow sensors and pipe heat sensors all connected to the Newera PC software. Similarly individual rooms in each block had fitted a movement/presence sensor, a temperature sensor and set control and an actuator to the legacy radiator. Each time a student enters into their room the system detects their presence and actuates the heater to heat up to a level set by the student. More importantly when they leave and at other times too it will automatically reduce the temperature to a pre-set ambient temperature thus automatically saving energy.
The system being based on a standard PC is connected to the University network and allows remote monitoring and control from any enabled PC or mobile even! Additional and more complex functionality can easily be added and will be over the next few months.

Newera Director appointed to CIBSE Intelligent Buildings Group committee
Newera founder and director Aref Taidi has been invited to sit on the prestigious Intelligent Buildings working group of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers www.cibse.org. This leading institute´s objective is "Engineering a Sustainable Built Environment"
Which is completely in line with the revolutionary approach to environmental control systems that Newera is bringing to the market.
