New Era Controls is a partnership between three very experienced individuals who have come together to realise the potential that lies within the Newera GCS3000 application. Their clear objective is to get the software with its facility to enable the reduction of resource and energy usage available to the worldwide market place. The current marketplace is too constrained by the technology and its method of distribution. Newera GCS3000 marks a New Era in the building Eco System marketplace and the three partners are committed to realising their vision. That is the ability to control resource and energy usage across the planet using an open software platform with industry standard PC´s and hardware components made available via a third party distribution channel.
Aref Taidi BSc MEng
Director and creator of Newera GCS3000
Aref is a leading developer and expert in the Real Time Control system marketplace. He has 28 years experience in the industrial marketplace developing control systems for such varied applications as Medical Systems, Robotics, Telecommunications, Parallel computing, Railway signalling, Network communications, Banking and finally Building Eco/Management Systems.
Aref came up with the vision for a PC software based Real Time Control solution for Building Eco/Management Systems some 20 years ago. He recognised the power behind the PC in the late 80´s with its potential for multi user, multi tasking operating control software. This has now resulted in the completion of the Newera GCS3000 software platform with its full facility to control devices and sensors whatever and wherever they are and delivered by suitably trained personnel.

Nicholas Fraser FinstSMM, Dip M (CIM)
Director and Business Mentor
Nicholas is a long standing business professional with 35 years experience. Nicholas commenced his career in Marketing and in 1980 joined Esselte Meto working on systems for retailers. This led to extensive work across UK and Europe working with Bain & Co on strategic plans and acquisitions. He moved into retail systems sales working with Omron (a Japanese multinational) and then for 10 years selling IBM based solutions to major retailers such as HMV and others.
In the late 90´s he was appointed a General Manager at Pegasus Software PLC working there for three years and eventually leading an MBO to sell software via a third party channel; selling out in 1984. He worked in partnership for a year with Gareth Davies on software mergers and acquisitions. For the past three years he has been in practice as a Business Mentor (www.smmentors.com) and met Aref through his practice.
Nicholas with his extensive experience in the commercial software marketplace could immediately see the gap in the market for a licensed software distribution strategy being applied to the Building Eco/Management Systems. He involved Gareth due to his extensive technical and entrepreneurial experience.

Gareth M Davies BSc. Msc.
Director
Gareth started his career in IT as a systems programmer in 1983 working on the first wave of microcomputer technology. Specialising in database software he progressed via client support to a management role in the mid 80´s with Soft Centre in Melbourne, looking after software development for a range of ERP software suites targeted at the Fashion business. This resulted in the Soft Centre becoming the provider of choice in its focused market sectors. Gareth then worked as a freelance technical and management consultant with leading Australian Banking and Finance institutions.
In 1990 Gareth was invited to launch a new range of accounting software and associated development tools into the UK market. This proved to be an extremely successful project in spite of the prevailing economic climate with significant sales success in the Medical, Ports and Leisure sectors. In 1993 the product set became fully integrated into the portfolio of a Misys Group company and Gareth returned to Australia to launch the Butler Group IT analyst business in Sydney.
Since the sale of the Butler Group business in 2001, Gareth has been engaged with a number of UK and Australian technology-related projects in a technical and entrepreneurial capacity. He returned to the UK in 2008 to further develop the most successful of these opportunities and more importantly to help in the launching of New Era; something he believes from his technical and entrepreneurial perspective has worldwide potential.
